AssalamuAlaikum,
Alhamdulillah by the grace of Allah, InshaAllah Monday, June 19th, we will witness the First of DhulHijjah 1444 AH. Thus, we enter the best days of the entire year in which Allah SWT loves to be worshipped.
Accordingly, Eid al Adha will be on Wednesday, June 28th. Revised Prayers schedule is below:
Among these days, the prime day of the entire year is the 9th of ZulHijjah The Day of Arafah, which begins on sundown of next Monday (June 26th) and ends at sundown Tuesday (June 27th). Fasting this day is promised by the Prophet of Allah to be an expiation of past and present year’s sins (Sahih Muslim). People are forgiven and decreed to be among the people of Paradise.
Anyone intending to do Udhiyya Sacrifice should not clip their nails or trim hair after sunset today (June 18th) till their sacrifices are done.
In the meantime, let us focus on devoting time out of sincere love for Allah swt to do the following:
1️⃣ Improve in Daily 5 prayers with their volunteer sections (Sunan) and pray in congregation at KIC
2️⃣ Volunteer Prayers during the day (Sunnah, Nafal, Duha, Awwabeen, Tasbih) + Tahajjud
3️⃣ Zikr of morning and evening – and as much possible through out the day.
4️⃣ Fasting all 9 days but especially focusing on the 9th day – Arafah
5️⃣ Special Remembrance of Allah – Takbeerat
Starting after Fajr Prayer of 9th and lasting till the Asr on 13th of ZhulHijjah. (6/27 to 7/1)
They are:
الله اكبر الله اكبر لا إله إلا الله والله اكبر الله اكبر ولله الحمد
AllahuAkbar AllahuAkbar La ilaha illAllahuWallahuAkbar AllahuAkbar wa LillahilHamd
6️⃣ Charity – Sadaqa
7️⃣ Avoid sins, arguments, and practice higher morals of Islam.
8️⃣ Plan on doing sacrifice, remembering the passion of prophet Ibrahim عليه السلام
9️⃣ Avoid clipping nails and trimming hair, if you are doing the sacrifice.
To learn more about these days:
May Allah enable us to do the deeds that He shall be pleased with. Ameen
Sincerely,
HafizNauman, KIC
